Ocean tugboats rescue the BBC Steinhoeft
An operation carried out in record time
Montréal, March 31, 2011 – The tugboats Ocean Georgie Bain and Ocean Intrepide free the BBC Steinhoeft after it runs aground between the Victoria and Jacques-Cartier bridges in Montréal. The 138 metre long ship completely blocks the shipping channel in both directions. The two Ocean tugs takes only 20 minutes to free the ship, tow it to the Port of Montréal and limit the seaway closure to only few hours.
