OCEAN TUGS ASSIGNED TO THE HEBRON OIL DRILLING PROJECT

Ocean Group personalizes its service offering to meet your needs

Newfoundland and Labrador, 2013–2017 – Given the extent of towing service needs for the Hebron megaproject, Ocean Group forms a new legal entity specifically for this project: Ocean Marine Services Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. More than 80 jobs are created.

Four to five Ocean tugs are used in the Bull Arm Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, to move the barges that transport the construction materials needed to build the platform erected on a stand-alone concrete gravity base structure (GBS).

Thereafter, they also participate in moving the GBS to the deep water site, which required more than seven tugs.

In total, more than 10,000 various movements are made without incident or accident.
