RESPIRE CAMPAIGN by Ocean Group
Last month, Ocean Group, a company well-established in the Quebec and Canadian marine sector, officially launched its RESPIRE fundraising campaign. The primary aim of the campaign is to raise funds that will be donated directly to the Fondation du CHU de Québec, to renew the stock of neonatal critical care respirators at the Centre mère-enfant Soleil of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval, which is currently in desperate need.

Gordon Bain, Founder and Chairman of the Board, and Jacques Tanguay, President and CEO, invite the City of Québec’s business community to attend the cocktail reception at Hôtel Monsieur Jean in the heart of Old Québec on September 21.
The respirator stock at the Centre mère-enfant Soleil du CHU de Québec-Université Laval needs to be renewed. As the cause of sick children is of particular concern to Ocean Group’s executives and employees, the decision was made to become more closely involved and to commit to raising sufficient funds for the purchase of this medical equipment.
A first edition of RESPIRE in 2012
The idea caught on during the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations. As a similar event had been organized for the company’s 40th anniversary in 2012, and as community involvement is a core value at Ocean Group, the idea of a fundraising event was put forward. Sincerely committed to the cause of sick children, and working in concert with the Fondation du CHU de Québec, the forces have joined together to set up the second edition of RESPIRE.
“We are delighted to once again be associated with the Fondation du CHU de Québec as a partner, and to take concrete action to help children recover” said Gordon Bain at the launch event last June.
