Ocean's awarded the Prix Reconnaissance for an innovative project

Thursday, February 15, 2018 – Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean: OCEAN’s engineering teams were awarded the Prix Reconnaissance for an innovative project during the Soirée reconnaissance of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. The event was held on Thursday, February 15th, in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean.

This award recognizes the ingenuity of our teams for their work on the Catatug project. This tug combines the characteristics of a traditional tug and a catamaran, giving it power, lightness and performance. Built in aluminum and measuring 16.6 meters long and 9.46 meters wide, this tug has a load capacity of 15 tons and 1430 horsepower. It is a jewel of the Ocean fleet, built in 2016, it is now in service to maneuver and mobilize construction barges on the site of the new Champlain Bridge. A recognition that, once again, salutes the know-how of our teams.
