We are actively seeking a Supervisor – Operations for our Verreault shipyard.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Coordinate and supervise the different departments so that the work is carried out according to the planning established by the superintendents;
  • Validate the progress of the work with the team leaders;
  • Manage outsourced labor;
  • Ensure emergencies and manage unforeseen events (mechanical breakdowns, weather, etc.)
  • If necessary, review the planning established by the superintendents;
  • Ensure the application of the collective agreement;
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

 

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • University degree in management or other relevant training;
  • Three (3) years of experience in this role or a similar role;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, more particularly Excel;
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Sense of organization and priorities;
  • Autonomy and discretion;
  • Good stress tolerance and ability to work on several files simultaneously;
  • Languages: very good command of spoken and written French, English an asset;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Experience in managing unionized personnel;
  • Technical knowledge in the naval sector (asset).
