We are actively seeking a Mechanic – Construction Machinery to perform various repair and maintenance jobs on a diverse fleet of construction machinery and equipment. The person will work in the workshop as well as outside and sometimes on projects that are out of the ordinary.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY

Reporting to the Foreman – Machinery and Lifting, you will have to:

• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and machinery;
• Adjust, repair and replace parts on equipment;
• Test equipment to verify functioning and ensure that repairs are in accordance with requirements;
• Perform related maintenance work on equipment and machinery;
• Participate in major repairs as directed by the Foreman – Machinery and Lifting;
• Carry out the verification and repair of equipment or machinery that will be subject to inspection;
• Travel to various sites to perform repairs and maintenance;
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in construction machinery mechanics;
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction machinery mechanics;
• Competence in diesel mechanics and hydraulics;
• Valid class 5 driver’s license;
• Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset).
