We are actively seeking a Financial Analyst – Compliance and Taxation to plan and optimize tax cash flows and manage tax audits. He will be responsible for the accounting of several financial statement items, and will participate in the annual audit process of the consolidated financial statements by preparing certain sections and following up with the auditors. He will oversee the opening and closing of cost items and the assessment of their capitalization. Finally, he will contribute to the effective execution of accounting activities during the acquisition of new entities.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Analyze profits during the year to adjust intercompany charges and minimize consolidated group tax.
  • Prepare tax return proposals for group-related corporations.
  • Prepare and consolidate tax information to prepare the annual consolidated tax provision.
  • Handle tax audits and tax inquiries.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, including analysis, closing entries, explanations, etc.
  • Perform fixed asset accounting and prepare required reports.
  • Analyze various requests for the creation of capitalizable projects to ensure that capitalization criteria are met in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare certain sections of the audit file and follow up with auditors.
  • Participate in and support activities related to the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.

 

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • University degree in accounting
  • Three to five years’ experience in this or a similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel (advanced)
  • Languages: advanced level in French and intermediate level in English, spoken and written
  • CPA title
  • Knowledge of SAP (asset)Languages: advanced level in French and intermediate level in English, spoken and written
