We are actively seeking a captain to carry out towing maneuvers on a tugboat, directing a crew and managing the maintenance of the vessel at our operations sites in British Columbia.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

• Operate vessels according to company practices and those recognized by the industry.
• Lead a crew and promote the company’s health and safety program.
• Ensure the implementation of the company’s maintenance program.
• Ensure the sound management of the material under your responsibility.
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

• Canadian Master’s Certificate 500 GRT
• Mininum of one (1) year of experience in British Columbia coastal waters;
• Medical certificate issued by Transport Canada
• Skills certificates:
  • MED Basic Safety STCW-2010
  • Ability to operate lifeboats and rescue boats
  • MED Advanced firefighting
• Restricted Operator’s Certificate – Commercial Maritime (ROC-CM)
• Certificate of  marine basic first aid training at sea
• Knowledge in operating a quality system with ISM standards (SMS)
• Valid driver’s license (class 5)
• Language: advanced level in English, spoken and written
