BEAUTIFUL JAMAICAN CEREMONY FOR THE OCEAN BLUE MAHOE

On April 20, Ocean Group held a very special event at the Port Royal Pier in the Port of Kingston, Jamaica. Ocean J Towing proceeded to the blessing of the brand new tug to join the fleet: the OCEAN BLUE MAHOE. The name of this new tug was chosen because of the emblematic tree of Jamaica; the blue mahoe, known for its unique bluish hardwood colour.

For the occasion, more than one hundred clients, partners, dignitaries, employees and members of the media celebrated the arrival of this new tugboat under the warm Jamaican sun.  The new tug joins the OCEAN KINGSTON PRIDE and the OCEAN TALLAWAH, which are already present in the Port of Kingston.

Let us recall that Ocean Group has been providing harbour services in the Port of Kingston since 2018 and has over 30 employees annually.
