Winter maintenance on two self-unloading CSL group vessels

Québec, 2014 – The Ocean Naval and Industrial Repairs team is awarded a winter maintenance contract on two CSL vessels. Work is done on the propellers, in the engine rooms and on numerous pipes. Several thousand pounds of steel are also replaced in the ballast water tanks.
Working conditions are particularly difficult due to the intense cold and restricted access to the tanks. Due to the scope of work, teams from Ocean Industries and Fabrication Navale Océan are lending a hand to the project.
