Québec, since 2012 – Ocean Marine Works’ specialized equipment helps ensure the success of the Transat Québec/St-Malo and the Grands Feux Loto-Québec.
During the Transat, which takes place every four years, the highly popular floating bar/restaurant is installed on a Radium 625 barge in the Louise Basin for the duration of the festivities.
Since 2015, the Grands Feux Loto-Québec team uses Ocean Group’s expertise to transport the fireworks experts and their explosives to the middle of the St. Lawrence River on a barge towed by two tugs. The tugs keep the barge in place throughout the performance, to the great delight of the spectators gathered on both sides of the river.
