We are actively seeking a Pipefitter to perform quality piping work on various types of vessels at our Verreault shipyard.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY

Reporting to the Superintendent – Piping, you will have to:

• Identify the different types of valves (globe valve, gate valve, butterfly valve) and perform disassembly and assembly of valve components;
• Perform polishing and grinding of valve discs;
• Perform cleaning and marking of parts and identify the types of seals to be used;
• Participate in the assembly of connections on the ship (fire line and seawage);
• Operate a chain hoist;
• Perform air test before starting work in a confined space;
• Implement various plumbing techniques (welding, tracing, cutting, bending, gluing, etc.);
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

• Diploma of vocational studies in plumbing and heating or equivalent experience (asset);
• Knowledge of plumbing and tools;
• Ability to work in confined space, at height or outdoors;
• Ability to read and interpret plans;
• Resourceful and versatile;
• Team player.
