We are actively seeking a Welder to perform various welding and assembly work on shipbuilding and repair projects at our Verreault shipyard.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY

Reporting to the Superintendent – Steel, you will have to:

• Read plans and interpret required welding procedures;
• Work with plans, cut material and fit;
• Carry out welding based on FCAW and GMAW processes;
• Perform various tasks related to welding work or as required by the project at hand;
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

• Diploma of vocational studies in welding-fitting or equivalent experience;
• Ability to work in confined space, at height or outdoors;
• Ability to read and interpret plans;
• Resourceful and versatile;
• Team player;
• Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and jigs;
• CWB cards (asset).
