We are actively seeking for a Crane Operator to operate different types of cranes and carry out all surface treatment operations at our Verreault shipyard.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY

Reporting to Dock Master, you will have to:

  • Maneuver loads, cages or platforms;
  • Operate different types of cranes such as boom trucks, self-propelled, telescopic and conventional cranes on trucks or on site, etc.;
  • Prepare and treat the surface and perform finishing work;
  • Calculate loads and densities;
  • Periodically inspect the crane and its components and report breakage;
  • Manufacture and inspect slings required for the work;
  • Complete the various maintenance records;
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

  • Valid crane operator’s license;

  • Ability to work at heights;
  • Ability to read and interpret plans;
  • Knowledge of crane operator signals, sling techniques and pre-lift planning procedures (rigging);
  • Knowledge of crane disassembly/assembly procedures and preparation for transportation.
