BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Supervisor – Procurement, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing and Supply team by processing requisitions for goods and services requested as well as processing receiving documents. The incumbent will negotiate and purchase certain goods or services, as requested by the requisitioners, and will follow up on these requests.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Receive and analyze requisitions;
  • Participate in calls for tenders and requests for bids, in collaboration with the purchasing team;
  • Ensure that the necessary approvals are obtained;
  • Place orders, according to the requests received;
  • Follow up on orders according to the established procedure and advise the applicant of any changes;
  • Ensures compliance with purchasing procedures by requestors and suppliers;
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve disputes (quantity, delays, quality, etc.);
  • Negotiate the price of certain goods and services, according to the technical specifications requested by the applicants;
  • Maintain the supplier register;
  • Participate in team meetings;
  • Follow up on invoices and price differences in the accounts payable file;
  • Conclude commercial agreements with the various suppliers;
  • Participate and support the activities of the health, safety and environment

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Collegial diploma in Supply Management or in a relevant discipline;
  • One (1) to three (3) years of professional experience in a similar position;
  • Any combination of experience and academic background will be considered;
  • PMAC Association membership (asset);
  • Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of ERP (asset);
  • English and French, functional level, both oral and written;
  • Rigor, organizational skills, communication skills and diplomacy.
