We are actively seeking a Technician – Positioning to perform seabed soundings, analyze bathymetric surveys and produce reports for ongoing projects using specialized equipment and software.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:
- Manage dredger’s positioning;
- Participate in bathymetric surveys and data processing;
- Measure dredged quantities;
- Analyze and interpret data collected in relation to dredging plans;
- Conduct data research;
- Evaluate problems encountered in each project in order to find solutions;
- Evaluate environmental and geographical conditions related to projects;
- Monitor each stage of the project and take corrective action;
- Provide technical support for equipment installation, maintenance and operation;
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:
- College degree (DEC) in geomatics, earth sciences or related field;
- Availability to travel, sometimes outside Canada, for several days at a time, depending on the project;
- Knowledge of computer-assisted drafting software;
- Knowledge of hydrographic processing software (an asset);
- Professional experience in the maritime field (an asset);
- Languages: advanced level in oral and written French and English.
