The Dredging Superintendent ensures the carrying out of underwater excavation projects performed in waterways, ports and marinas. He is responsible for managing his team and sees to the proper operation and movement of equipment. Finally, he acts as resource person on the various worksites.



  • Coordinate the implementation of projects underway
  • Analyze project sites in order to plan works
  • Coordinate material and equipment transportation to worksites
  • Assess the environmental and geographical conditions related to each project
  • In collaboration with the maintenance team, plan the preparation of equipment
  • Assign staff and resources based on priorities
  • Supervise and support work teams during work
  • Monitor each stage of the project and perform corrective measures
  • Ensure that occupational health, safety and environment rules are complied with



  • Three (3) years of experience in dredging, civil engineering or excavation projects management
  • Have completed training related to the position (examples: construction equipment mechanics, civil engineering, marine sector, etc.)
  • Experience in the field of dredging would be an asset
  • Leadership and management skills with a multidisciplinary team
  • Enjoy teamwork
  • Available to travel for several consecutive work days
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
