Responsibilities you will be entrusted with

  • Install and repair mechanical systems on vessels under construction or in dry dock;
  • Participate in major repairs as directed by the Mechanical Foreman: use lifting equipment, disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment, handle parts, and participate in completion testing as directed;
  • Install and repair plumbing systems;
  • Maintain and repair machinery;
  • Maintain and repair work equipment;
  • Carry out  preventive inspections;
  • Carry out other routine maintenance;
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and that repairs meet manufacturer’s requirements;
  • Perform testing and repair of fixed and rolling equipment or machinery that will be inspected;
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by his immediate supervisor.

Profile sought

  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license (depending on work site);
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Availability for traveling;
  • Flexibility to work on shifts.
