We are actively seeking a Director – Business Development to lead business development and client relationship in the Western Canada market. The selected candidate will develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients in the region, according to the strategic objectives defined in the growth plan.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Establish strategies for business development, client outreach and bidding processes for the Western Canadian market, in line with Ocean’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Identify development objectives and opportunities for the markets and clienteles targeted.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with all potential clients and partners and stay aware of their issues and needs.
  • Conduct market research and gather as much relevant information as possible to identify and understand trends in our various markets.
  • Continuously assess our business environment and identify any situation requiring a readjustment of orientations and/or strategies.
  • Attend trade shows, fairs, conferences, and conventions according to the objectives identified in the business development strategy and marketing plan for Western Canada.
  • Proactively measure satisfaction with services provided, agreement terms and invoicing.
  • Support the Operations Manager in terms of business agreements and client relations.
  • Participate in and support activities related to the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • University degree in Business Administration or other relevant training
  • Between five and ten years experience in this or a similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Business acumen
  • Client-oriented
  • Strategic thinking
  • Languages: advanced level in English, spoken and written
