In a multi-services and multi-territories model, the Director – Business development will be responsible for developing Ocean’s marine services business in Latin America and Caribbean, both with existing clients and potential clients. He will also have to develop and implement appropriate strategies to achieve established objectives. Finally, he will help build strong business relations and anticipate the future trends of the marine sector, specifically for dredging works and harbour towing.

  • Establish guidelines and strategies for existing and new markets as well as potential development strategies
  • Submit an annual action plan that guides business development activities
  • Keep abreast of news and orientations related to the marine industry to identify business opportunities and offer tailored solutions
  • Participate in various events, both at the local and international level, and get involved to maintain good relations with stakeholders and clients
  • Conduct market studies with a maximum of relevant information
  • Play a supporting role in the preparation and presentation of tenders
  • Provide his vision of business development, during meetings, and take appropriate action to improve the process for future projects
  • Ensure client relations development as well as their satisfaction and challenges
  • Schedule meetings with clients based on targeted objectives
  • Identify marketing and advertising needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, marketing or other relevant field
  • 10 years experience in business development
  • Experience in dredging, ports, tugs, marine services or marine infrastructure is greatly appreciated
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Recognized for his ability to build relations and communicate
  • Able to travel abroad regularly in different countries
  • Strong entrepreneurial sense and an interest in business
  • Client-driven, while being results-oriented
  • Ability to manage priorities
  • Resourceful, self-directed and organized
  • Valid passport
