A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF WHAT TO EXPECT

Do you know anything about barge manoeuvring, small tugs or dredging as a captain?

Our dredging teams currently have many captain positions to be filled to work on projects across Canada: in Quebec, British Columbia, Nunavut and New Brunswick.

No matter where the projects are located, we have the means to facilitate your transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL BE ENTRUSTED WITH

  • Perform various manoeuvres using small tonnage tugs or workboats
  • Move equipment on the dredging site
  • Move barges to required locations
  • See to the ship’s smooth running and basic maintenance
  • Ensure the effective running of operations with the assistance of deckhands
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental protection regulations

 

PROFILE SOUGHT

  • Hold a Master certificate recognized by Transport Canada (60 tons or more)
  • 2 years of experience as Master on small tonnage ships
  • Experience manoeuvring barges or dredging
  • Available to travel
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Valid driver’s license
