As part of a dynamic team, the incumbent collaborates in the continuous improvement of environmental practices in all of the Ocean Group’s operating units. In collaboration with the corporate HSE team, he promotes laws, regulations, Ocean standards, best practices and monitors the implementation of environmental improvement projects. He also acts as an internal expert for the HSE team and the project and operations teams.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Participating actively in the identification of HSE risks during the development of projects and proposals.
  • Providing HSE operational support to Techsol Marine (an Ocean company).
  • Preparing the required HSE information as part of calls for tenders for the various sectors, in close collaboration with each sector’s HSE Coordinator.
  • Visiting and auditing worksites and shipyards on a regular basis in order to identify and help eliminate possible risks of accidents, occupational diseases or pollution.
  • Taking on HSE improvement special projects.
  • Assisting and replacing HSE Coordinators, as needed.
  • Maintaining the organization’s HSE performance indicators and participating in the development of new indicators.
  • Compiling the information required as part of Ocean’s Green Marine certifications.
  • Performing HSE process audits.
  • Ensuring that environmental compliance audits (ECA) are performed according to the timetable set for all sites.
  • Participating actively in the development and implementation of the HSE management system and its alignment with operational needs and existing practices.
  • Participating in HSE legal monitoring.
  • Assisting in the identification of training needs in the area of HSE.
  • Participating in HSE training content validation and providing various types of HSE training to employees, as needed.
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • University degree in a relevant field;
  • At least two (2) years of experience in health, safety and environment;
  • Bilingual (French and English) (asset);
  • Influential leadership;
  • Available to travel to various sites.
