Quebec, May 28, 2014 - Ocean Dredging DSM inc. was awarded the contract for maintenance dredging of the port of San Pedro de Macoris, the capital of the region of the same name, in the Dominican Republic. The contract for the extraction of 35,000 m3 will be spread over 11 days from May 28, 2014. Dredging aimed at restoring depths by removing accumulations of sediment using the trailing suction hopper dredge OCEAN NORTH TRAVERSE.

The dredge OCEAN NORTH TRAVERSE will benefit from its presence in the Dominican Republic to perform dredging at the port of Rio Haina, port of the capital Santo Domingo. It is the largest and the first port to be built in the Dominican Republic; more than 70% of the country's marine transportation is performed there.

These contracts result from the trade mission in the Dominican Republic held last January in which Ocean took part. Ocean continues its efforts to win other contracts in the region.
