Québec City, November 16, 2012 – To mark its 40th anniversary, Ocean donated $120,000 to help sick children at the CHUQ Mother and Child Centre. The money, a concrete gesture illustrating the company’s commitment to the cause, will go toward a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine.

The company also sought the support of many of its partners at a special event held yesterday. Ocean was able to collect an additional $100,000 to fund the purchase of five NAVA systems, a highly specialized respirator that adjusts its capacity to each child, thus facilitating mechanically-assisted breathing and reducing damage to the lungs and other complications.

Thanks to Ocean’s initiative and its partners’ support, the company was able to donate a total of $220,000 to the pediatric intensive care unit in the Mother and Child Centre.
