JOB DESCRIPTION

A partner in the achievement of business objectives, the Human Resources team brings the required expertise in human resources management and labour relations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources of the Marine Works and Dredging division, the Human Resources Advisor supports and advises managers in the application of human resources management policies and programs and collective agreements in effect.

The Human Resources Advisor plans, coordinates and carries out activities related to recruitment, induction and integration of new employees, training, the drafting of job descriptions and the management of compensation and performance. Regarding labour relations, he or she acts as a resource person on the application of collective agreements and employee handbooks, manages grievances and participates in labour relations committees and the preparation of collective bargaining.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office Suite software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Very good team spirit;
  • Able to manage multiple priorities;
  • Strong organizational capacity;
  • Rigour and thoroughness in work;
  • Excellent capacity to work in a changing environment;
  • Available to travel between the different work sites (Quebec City, L’Ange-Gardien, Montreal);
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code (an asset);
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (an asset).
