Job description:

 

Reporting to the Project and Production Director, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing project implementation and seeing to its proper conduct in order to ensure profitability, client satisfaction and the quality of the products and services delivered.

* Possibility of working alternatively between Bas-Caraquet and Quebec City

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage projects, including planning of work, as well as financial, material and human resources;
  • Plan, organize, direct and control implementation timetables;
  • Carry out purchase requisitions;
  • Analyze risks and prepare action plans to eliminate them at the source;
  • Provide the various indicators and communicate progress, objectives, problems and solutions;
  • Facilitate project follow-up meetings at the Bas-Caraquet shipyard;
  • Manage, assess and negotiate revisions, changes and/or additions to contractual agreements;
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables;
  • Conduct a post-mortem analysis of completed projects;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, suppliers, internal and external clients;
  • Acts as a communication agent between the various stakeholders;
  • Perform any other duties assigned to them by their immediate supervisor.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Have at least 10 years of experience in project management;
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the marine field;
  • Hold a diploma of college studies in naval architecture, a degree in mechanical engineering or naval architecture, or any other relevant experience;
  • Command of AutoCAD software and software required for project management;
  • Experience working with an integrated management system will be considered an asset;
  • Demonstrate ingenuity and a great level of autonomy;
  • Known for their strong interpersonal and decision-making skills;
  • Able to work under pressure;
  • Excellent team player;
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Hold a valid driver's license (frequent travel expected).
