Dredging in Mexico
Ocean’s expertise internationally recognized
Mexico, November 2013 - Ocean Dredging DSM wins its first international contract.
The dredging contract at Port of Dos Bocas in Mexico will be completed in January 2014; nearly 300 000 m3 of sediment will be extracted. The work will take place over a period of about 60 days and a dozen Ocean employees will work on the project during various work shifts to allow operations to continue day and night.
The trailing suction hopper dredger OCEAN TRAVERSE NORD took less than 3 weeks to reach Mexico.
Once the dredge on site and the contract of Dos Bocas completed, the Mexican port authorities took advantage of the presence of the vessel to carry out work at the Port of Veracruz. 15,000 m3 of sediment were removed from this site in a few days.
