Temporary floating wharf for Mingan
An ingenious solution for safeguarding Mingan’s economy
Mingan, September 2009 – A major fire seriously damages the wharf in Mingan on the North Shore. This tragedy is a severe blow to fishers operating out of the community as well as the many residents who work at the fish processing plant. To prevent disastrous economic repercussions for the municipality, Ocean Marine Works installs a 255-foot long, modular floating wharf in the shape of an L. This solution enables the fishing industry to continue its activities.
