Refashioning the sea floor near a hydroelectric dam

In December 2008, Inter-Cité Construction called on Ocean Construction's services to assist in refashioning the sea floor over a section of a river near a hydroelectric dam. The rock is transported with a PC 600 excavator located on one of our sectional barges.

The only access to the site is by land.  Therefore, in order to reach this destination, we had to transport the barge in sections by single drop deck platform semi-trailer which, once assembled, measured 200 feet by 45 feet, as well as two work boats, the Henry Sorgius and the OC 34.

The job is still underway and should finish some time this spring.
