We've come a long way since the publishing of this article.  As a matter of fact, the portion of the St-Lawrence seaway between Montreal and the gulf is now open year round and traffic runs almost completely in open waters.

However, in particularly cold winters, the accumulation of ice still causes headaches for many vessels and Ocean's Ice Class tugs are there to save the day.  Whether to clear the ice congesting wharves or clearing a path in particularly dense ice, our state-of-the-art tugs and experienced personnel will get the job done.
